May Days

The month of May has flown by and Caleb is already 13 months old!  At his 1-year check up, he weighed in at 21.5 lbs and 30 inches putting him in the 25th% and 75th% for weight and height.  He surprises me more and more each day with what he has learned.  Just yesterday, he signed “more eat.”  His first sentence!  My goal for the summer is to be more intentional with my time and to continue to nurture my growing boy.

Practicing his coloring skills.

What should I get out of my toy box?

Caleb’s friend (and neighbor) came over last weekend for his first sleepover!!  The had a blast playing with all his toys!

Caleb loves to read his books.  He’s pretty good about turning the pages and pointing to the pictures.

Caleb is definitely going through a mommy phase.  He loves to hug and give me kisses.  I love it!

Caleb just figured out how to sit on this train and use his feet to drive the train.  Such a big boy!

Caleb and his friend, Michael at Albertsons!  This was Caleb’s first time sitting in one of these “cars” attached to a shopping cart!

I had to go to Austin for work two weeks ago and bought these bendy Gumby and Pokey for Caleb at Book People (the best bookstore ever!).  I wonder if he’ll ever watch the show Gumby…

Mmmm…Gumby tastes good…

“Boaz!  Get out of the way!  I’m trying to play with my toys!”

Playing with rocks in the church prayer garden.  “I wonder if these taste good?”

“Here you go Mommy!”

Caleb is in a transitional period for naps right now.  If he naps in the morning, then he refuses to nap in the afternoon.  So I’m trying to get him to stay awake until around 12:30 for a long nap.  Well, needless to say, he still can’t make it all the way until 12:30 without a nap.  Today at church, Caleb fell asleep as Yoon was walking him to the car.  When we got home, I changed his diaper and put him in the crib without him waking up once.  He was tired!

Caleb went to Boston last weekend with me, my mom, and my aunt to visit his favorite Allen Emo!  We had a great time despite the fact that I got a stomach virus (that I passed on to my sister) and a cold!  He loved all the city sights and sounds!

Caleb didn’t sleep much on the plane so as soon as we arrived and got in the car, he fell asleep.

Caleb loved sleeping in the big King sized bed with me all weekend!

Caught in action!  Caleb figured out how to turn on the speaker phone in our hotel room and tried to do it every chance he got!

What’s going on down there?  Looking out the window from our 5th floor room.

Contemplating life.

Provincetown, MA.  It was cold and windy!

Checking out the cool fish at the New England Aquarium while eating a snack.

Riding the carousel for the first time!  Hang on tight!

At the airport waiting for our flight.  Caleb was worn out from all the excitement!
